Early Thanksgiving

On Sunday my mom had an early Thanksgiving at her house. We decided to celebrate early because my Aunt Lynda and Uncle Pat are going to be in Russia for Thanksgiving. Also my Grandma Peggy's 70th birthday is on Thanksgiving so we wanted to celebrate her birthday early. Almost everyone on my mom's side of the family was there, except my brother Paul, who is away at college and my cousin Stephanie who lives in Atlanta, GA.
My mom normally watches Jordan on Sunday's while I work, so it worked out perfectly. We had such a great time, and the food was delicious. Saturday night I made a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, that is just so yummy you could eat the whole thing. I also made sweat potato pie, by request. Sweet potato pie is a Shapiro family recipe that was passed down to me after we were married. Normally Jesse aunt brings it to Thanksgiving dinner and I thought I would try it out with my mom's family and they love it. It isn't your normal sweet potatoes, there are no marshmallows or orange yams, just regular sweet potatoes, coconut, brown sugar, pecans and more.
Here is my mom, Aunt Marilyn and Grandma Peggy cleaning up the kitchen.
After everyone was full from dinner we all sat around the family room and played Guesstures. My whole family loves to play games which is why I love to play games and have game night with friends.

We had so much fun, I enjoy hanging out with my family, playing games and eating good food.
