7 months old!

Taylor turned 7 months old on the 15th. Where has the time gone? Every month goes by way too fast. She is getting way too big and I hate that she is growing up, but loving it at the same time. She is such a good little girl. I thought that Jordan was a happy baby, but Taylor is probably more content then Jordan was. She is always smiling and talking. She loves her sister and is always looking for Jordan to make her laugh. She loves her daddy and always smiles when he walks into the room. But nothing compares to her momma. She is constantly hugging, squeezing and kissing me. She is happiest when I am holding her and I am always happy to hold her.
She LOVES baby food. I think I have said it before that Jordan hated baby food and no matter how many different types and flavors I tried she just wouldn't eat it. Taylor will eat anything and everything that I put in front of her. And if I don't shovel it in fast enough she starts to get mad and grunt and yell at me. I am still nursing her through out the day and feeding her food for breakfast she gets fruit and for dinner a vegetable.
She still HATES being on her tummy but we have been working on a little tummy time everyday and she seems to be getting a little more used to it. She is just happy sitting and playing with all the toys that Jordan brings her.

Preschool Christmas Program

Jordan had her Preschool Christmas program a few weekends ago. The School had given each of the kids invitations that they could send to friends and family that they wanted to invite. Jordan was so excited that her Grandma Kathy was coming to the program.
When we arrived at the school I dropped Jordan off in her classroom so they could get some extra practice time in. I was so nervous for her, I felt like I was going to be performing. I went into the auditorium and saved a row of seats for my mom, step-dad and grandparents. Once the program started each class walked on stage one by one. All the kids in Jordan's class were wearing antlers, except she didn't want to. Some of the other classrooms were wearing Santa hats, halos, etc.. We had been practicing her songs at home and she was getting really good at them. Each classroom performed a song or poem and then all the kids sang a few songs together. Jordan's class sang "Hooves, belly, antlers, nose" to the tune of "Head, shoulders, knees and toes". After each classroom sang their song each kid got to hold the microphone and say their name and Merry Christmas. Some of the kids said other funny things and some didn't say anything at all. I was very proud that Jordan said "My name is Jordan, Merry Christmas". She was so shy I could barely hear her but it was the sweetest cutest thing I had ever seen and I had tears in my eyes the whole time. I enjoyed the program so much and I think Jordan had a great time too because she didn't want to leave and threw a fit. I can't wait to see what happens next year.

On stage and she had just spotted me and gave me a huge smile.

Santa Claus + Snowflake Lane

We took the girls to see Santa Claus and then to Snowflake Lane the other night. We visit Santa at Bellevue Square and have had the same Santa the last 3 years. This year it was a different Santa and I was a little bit disappointed but Jordan didn't know the difference so everything was okay. Jordan was really excited to see Santa and sit on his lap. Last year she wouldn't even go near him by herself so needless to say her Santa picture turned into a family picture. This year she walked right up to him and sat on his knee. She didn't really want to snuggle in and was a little hesitant of him touching her but all in all we got a decent Santa picture. After the picture she told him what she wanted for Christmas which is a June and Annie doll (The Little Einsteins).
We then changed the girls clothes and headed out to Snowflake Lane. It was super cold outside and it was a Monday night so there wasn't that many people out which was nice for us because we got to have more face time with all the drummers, Snow Princess, Rudolph and the polar bear. Jordan enjoyed the music and snow but her favorite part was Rudolph the red nose reindeer. She could have danced with him all night. Taylor really enjoyed herself too. She loved the music and danced the whole time. It was a great family night and I can't wait to do it again next year.

The Nutcracker

Last week I took Jordan and Taylor to see the Nutcracker. It was a smaller production at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. We met up with some of our friends and Jordan couldn't have been more excited. For days prior to the Nutcracker she would wake up and ask if we were going to the Nutcracker that day and I would always say no, so when I finally said yes she was ecstatic. The ballet was about an hour and a half with a little intermission. It was so much fun watching the dancers on stage and Jordan loved being able to sit by her friends and watch the show. I will definitely go back next year and make it a tradition that I hope the girls will look forward to every year.
Here are a few pictures of the girls after the show. You will see they had SO much energy and were copying the dancers.

Giving Thanks!!

I know I am a little behind on my blogging but it's never too late :)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and spent the whole day at my mom's. It was so nice to only have to go to one place and not feel rushed to leave and go somewhere else. It was also nice that my mom's whole family could be there and we could all spend the day together catching up.
This Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful healthy girls and a caring, loving family.

This ended up being an all guys table. I am sure they all went around and said what they were Thankful for.

Jesse & my cousin Kurt

This was pretty much an all girls table except for my uncle Mark at the end.

Jordan and me, cheesy grins.

Crazy play date

A couple of weeks ago we went to my friend Amy's house for a play date. There we so many kids there, ages 2 months to 5 years old. It was so much fun seeing the kids play so well with each other while us mommies got to chat and catch up.
